Eun Sun Park was born in 1965 in Mopko, South Korea, but has been living and working in Pietrasanta, Italy for almost 30 years.
His abstract marble sculptures, often in 2 different colors, create a concept of space, strongly influenced by Oriental cultures. Working the surface with cracks, fissures and fractures, symbolizes the opening of the human spirit and at the same time the complete destruction of matter. Park’s unique artworks are exhibited worldwide and are included in various museums and public collections.
In 2020, the city of Pietrasanta rewarded him with the honorary citizenship. A recognition that puts him aside 2 of his colleagues, Fernando Botero and Igor Mitoraj, who are also closely connected to this celebrated city of art.
